Crane Melon (Eel River)

Crane is a beautiful cross of a cantaloupe and a Japanese melon made nearly a century ago. The result is a 4 lb tear-drop shaped melon with light orange flesh which is sweet and very fragrant. These melons are rarely seen, but easily grown and ready in about 80 days. Harvest when the rind turns yellow and the green specks turn orange. I'll send about 40 seeds so you have lots to grow and share.
