Rostova

Rostova, a heirloom variety, was introduced to the west by Nik Peplenov who immigrated to the US in 1999 and brought with him his favorite heirloom seeds from the Rostov Don region in Central Asia. The variety is a fine producer of 12-16 oz red fruit with very good flavor. It was renamed Sunset's Red Horizon by Gary Ibsen, who is fond of doing that sort of thing.
