Medovaya Kaplya (Honey Drop)

A Russian variety whose name means 'Honey Drop', this is a fine little yellow pear. I know yellow pear tomatoes have a reputation for being bland, but Medovaya Kaplya along with Yellow Submarine and our Submarine Blush are in a completely different class. The flavors are complex, fruity with hints of citrus, and they will become a favorite in your fresh salads. Medovaya Kapla is a little rounder and a clearer yellow than Yellow Submarine, but the two are quite similar and may share a common origin.
