Punjab Lal

PunJab Lal is a slender cayenne pepper from East Asia. The 24" plants are very healthy and loaded with peppers. The ones I get are about 3 inches long and borne in bunches. That's larger than expected and the fruit is only partially upright so perhaps this is a related pepper from that region. In about 85 days the lime green peppers begin to turn to bright red.
Punjabs are extremely hot with a sweet, intense, almost fruity flavor. They are great for hot pickles, sauces and ground for seasoning.
