Mexican Rose

(85d) I was given seed for this corn by my friend Jesus Guzman, who got it from someone he knows in Mexico. It is a striking pink and white dent corn used for posole and other dishes. The 7 inch cobs are thick and fill to the end with large, soft kernels. They set on strong stalks whose tillers anchor the crop even in strong winds, and the variety takes drought and punishing heat in stride. 80 seeds per large packet.
