Mason Marvel

Dr. Mason Marvel spent a lifetime refining this tomato, beginning when he was at West Virginia University in the 1950's. He also developed the famous 'West Virginia 63' variety.
The bright pink slicers are dense and solid, with few seeds with fine flavor. I was picking a couple of these a week later in the summer. Mason Marvel has a reputation for being widely adaptable, and you may do even better. There are also accounts that there is some resistance to late blight.
