Hopi Yellow Bean

The Hopi people have made their home on the three mesas of Hopitutskwa for a very long time. They are experienced dryland farmers and this bush bean will set a crop even in dry years. The richly colored beans are good both as stringless green beans or used dry in soups and other dishes. This seed was originally collected and preserved by L. Sandoval of Dixon, NM.
