Ukranian Pole Bean

This bean originated in Kostentsh located in the southwest part of Ukraine. It was brought to the United States by an immigrant a number of years ago. The plants quickly climb to 6 or more feet and produce some of the earliest dry beans. The oval seeds are stunning - white with a purple cap and come 5-6 in a pod. The pods are easy to thresh as well. This is great bean for storage and winter eating.
